Former NFL player Antonio Brown is heading to Miami to confront an attempted murder charge stemming from a shooting that occurred in May, with his counsel filing a not guilty declaration on his behalf.

Detention logs in Essex County, New Jersey, show that Brown was discharged on Tuesday morning for his transfer to Florida. Brown, a highly popular players in the NFL, had forgone transfer to Florida from New Jersey, where he was held after being taken into custody in the city of Dubai.

Brown’s lawyer, Mark Eiglarsh, mentioned in an email that he has earlier submitted a written innocent plea to the attempted murder accusation. Brown could be in a Miami courtroom as early as Wednesday early for a release hearing, Eiglarsh said.
