An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
