Uche Ignites Comfortable Crystal Palace Triumph at Shelbourne.
Despite entering their maiden continental adventure, Crystal Palace are learning at a rapid pace. Missing star figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a comfortable result that virtually guarantees them a spot in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
A further victory in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS should be sufficient to secure straight entry to the knockout stages, especially following a prior setback against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Seize the Opportunity
This match offered a platform for some of Palace's fringe players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after joining on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, finding the net for the second game in match.
A Shelbourne side that had finished their league season proved outmatched even for a mostly second-string Palace lineup. The Londoners were further depleted by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are out with knee problems.

Ex-Arsenal striker did not have wait long to get his goal, tapping home from close range after Uche's effort had struck the post.
The home side were hanging on desperately. Defender Kameron Ledwidge was fortunate to escape a booking for two agricultural challenges on Yeremy Pino, before Chris Richards rattled the woodwork with a header from a corner.

The match was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past a series of weak challenges before calmly slotting a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw several players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still scope for development in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect evening for the visiting side.
